We are recruiting an Electrical Design Engineer to join a well-established and growing industrial automation company delivering projects across the UK and Europe. This is a hybrid role offering a mix of home and office working, alongside a varied portfolio of automation and control systems projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Electrical design for industrial automation and control systems
  • Control panel design and general arrangements
  • Schematic wiring and circuit design
  • Work with MCCs, PLC hardware, and switchgear
  • Perform electrical calculations (voltage drop, power, etc.)
  • Selection of drives, motors, and control equipment
  • Use of Electrical CAD software (AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN)

Skills & Experience Required

  • Experience as an Electrical Design Engineer
  • Background in control panel or automation system design
  • Knowledge of PLC hardware, drives and industrial control systems
  • Experience using Electrical CAD packages (AutoCAD Electrical or EPLAN)
  • Ability to contribute to projects from concept through to completion
