You might be a Design Engineer with a combination of PLC control systems and machine safety, functional safety knowledge, and using your safety regulations experience to make factory automation and robotic, conveyor, packaging or process machinery safer, more compliant. You\’re looking for a company that produces high quality PLC, Electrical, Factory Automation systems, and rightly sees safety as an essential to every part of their output. They\’ve created a specialist role to use your knowledge.
My customers want to a PLC Control or Electrical Design Engineer who understands aspects such as functional safety, safety requirement specifications (SRS), understands electrical design – what it takes to make a machine safer, sensors, machinery guarding, e-stops, PLC control, shutdowns. Someone who can review the designs, checking that they comply with safety requirements, adding to project documentation, adding their Functional Safety input to make sure that every project goes out right first time.
TUV, CMSE, FSeng, training, functional safety, safety design experience- one of these would be useful.
