Due to an expanding order book for PLC, Electrical, Industrial Automation Systems, we\’re seeking a skilled engineer to join my customers\’ engineering team in a dual-focused role combining some office- based PLC programming with hands-on site electrical and controls commissioning across the UK and Europe. What You\’ll Do Office-Based (25% of time): • PLC programming control software using Siemens S7 TIA systems (sometimes assisting Senior Controls Engineers, maybe gaining more PLC software exposure, adding to your skills). • Perform system modifications and upgrades, debugging, fault finding. • Work from the Company\’s Northamptonshire facility Site-Based Commissioning (75% of time): • Commission electrical and control systems for new materials handling projects • Verify electrical and mechanical installations • Download and modify PLC software on-site • Conduct electrical reworking and control panel checks • Oversee initial production runs and provide customer training • Manage project handovers to clients Travel requirements: 10-14 days for European projects, shorter durations for UK site visits The Company Offers • Competitive salary up to £51,000 • Plus Paid overtime opportunities • 33 days annual leave • Pension contributions • Comprehensive benefits package What We\’re Looking For • Electrical engineering background • PLC software programming experience – design ideally, but PLC skills/ wish to learn more, also good • Site-based commissioning capabilities • Understanding of machinery and automation systems • Ability to work independently and as part of a small project team Which other Engineers have done well in this Company?
