Qualifications and Experience

  • Hold at least 5 GCSE’s or equivalent, which must include at least a Grade C/4 in Maths and English. (Essential)
  • Previous exam invigilating experience within a school environment. (Desirable)
  • Previous experience of working with children in an educational setting. (Desirable)
  • Successful experience of working within a secondary school. (Desirable)
  • Knowledge of ‘Instructions for the Conduct of Examinations’. (Desirable)
  • Good behavioural management. (Desirable)
  • Able to demonstrate a commitment to school improvement and raising achievement for all students.
  • Able to follow processes.
  • Previous administrative experience demonstrating strong organisational skills.
  • Excellent problem solving, communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and deal sensitively with related issues/individuals with tact, diplomacy and discretion.
  • Ability to work quickly, methodically and accurately under pressure and act flexibly to support others and respond to unplanned situations.
  • Good interpersonal skills and an ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and students.
  • Able to work under pressure and work to deadlines.
  • Have the flexibility to undertake any role requested by the Examination/Data Officer.
  • Willingness to support students on a 1:1 basis.
  • High levels of professional integrity, energy and enthusiasm.
  • Flexible and responsive to change.
  • Be dependable, able to follow instruction and respond to management directions.
  • Have the ability and willingness upon occasion to carry out some manual lifting of examination stationery.
