Advanced Practitioner Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant / Nurse Practitioner Master’s program preferred
- Licensed, or eligible to be licensed, as a Physician Assistant / Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in the state of Connecticut
- Certification or eligible to be certified as a Physician Assistant or National Board Certification as an ambulatory Nurse Practitioner
- Clinical experience in surgery, weight management, or nutritional services strongly preferred
Physician Assistant / Nurse Practitioner Role Scope
The APP will work in an ambulatory setting. Patient management will include new patient consults, short- and long-term post-operative follow up, and coordination of patient care across multiple disciplines. In-office procedures will include skin and soft tissue mass excision and some complex wound care. This opportunity will require travel. Primary site is Uncasville, and there may be travel to Waterford or Willimantic. There will not be on call coverage. Shift: Open to either 5 8-hour shifts or 4 10-hour shifts.
