The predicted salary is between 31500 - 38500 £ per year.

This role includes travel to various care homes in and around the M3 & M4 corridor , soa driving licence is essential but a vehical will be provided.

We’re looking for a skilled Painter & Decorator to join our friendly Maintenance Team, helping us keep our care homes safe, comfortable, and beautifully maintained for the people who live and work in them.

What You’ll Do

  • Carry out all painting and decorating tasks, including preparation, repair, and finishing of internal and external areas.
  • Work safely at height using ladders, scaffolding, and access equipment.
  • Keep work areas clean and minimise disruption to residents and staff.
  • Support general maintenance tasks (e. g. basic plumbing, tiling, minor repairs).
  • Travel between homes as required to support the maintenance team.
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety procedures at all times.

What We’re Looking For

Essential

  • Robust and high-quality painting and decorating experience with a keen eye for detail
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team, maintaining a high degree of skill and professionalism
  • Ability to work at height
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations
  • Full and clean driving licence

Desirable

  • Painting and Decorating Qualification
  • Previous experience within a care setting
  • Knowledge of working with people who live with dementia
  • Previous experience of carrying out general maintenance tasks
  • Good IT skills and knowledge including robust skills in using apps and systems on i Pads and other IT equipment
