The predicted salary is between 31500 - 38500 £ per year.
This role includes travel to various care homes in and around the M3 & M4 corridor , soa driving licence is essential but a vehical will be provided.
We’re looking for a skilled Painter & Decorator to join our friendly Maintenance Team, helping us keep our care homes safe, comfortable, and beautifully maintained for the people who live and work in them.
What You’ll Do
- Carry out all painting and decorating tasks, including preparation, repair, and finishing of internal and external areas.
- Work safely at height using ladders, scaffolding, and access equipment.
- Keep work areas clean and minimise disruption to residents and staff.
- Support general maintenance tasks (e. g. basic plumbing, tiling, minor repairs).
- Travel between homes as required to support the maintenance team.
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety procedures at all times.
What We’re Looking For
Essential
- Robust and high-quality painting and decorating experience with a keen eye for detail
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team, maintaining a high degree of skill and professionalism
- Ability to work at height
- Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations
- Full and clean driving licence
Desirable
- Painting and Decorating Qualification
- Previous experience within a care setting
- Knowledge of working with people who live with dementia
- Previous experience of carrying out general maintenance tasks
- Good IT skills and knowledge including robust skills in using apps and systems on i Pads and other IT equipment
