If you’ve got a property management background and you’re good with people, not just emails but proper, face-to-face conversations, this Resident Service Consultant role might be exactly what you’re after. The position sits within a specialist Consultancy working across the Residential Property sector. It’s hands-on, people-focused and all about how you communicate, build trust and handle conversations that need a bit more care.
You’ll be based on-site anywhere in between Derby and Sheffield, within a retirement village, acting like a third party, speaking directly with residents and guiding them through changes to their lease agreements, particularly around service charges and payment structures. This isn’t a back-office role. As a Resident Service Consultant, you’re the person residents turn to, answering questions, managing concerns and making sure everything is clear and handled properly.
The Package:
- £40,0000 (pro rata), employed contract through our client
- Initial 1-month – 3-month contract, huge potential for it to extend to 6 months and then go permanent.
- Opportunity to be part of a growing function scaling from 2 to 10 projects per year
- Exposure to major retirement living operators
Resident Service Consultant Role:
- Deliver on-site consultations with residents regarding lease variations
- Act as the main point of contact throughout the consultation process
- Manage resident expectations, questions and concerns professionally
- Support retirement operators through structured lease transition programmes
- Maintain accurate records of conversations and outcomes
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure smooth project delivery
The Person:
- Background in Property Management, Leasehold, or Residential sector preferred
- Immediately available or within 1-2 weeks' notice
- Flexible to commit to a contract over the next 3-6 months
- Comfortable working face-to-face with elderly or vulnerable residents
- Able to build trust quickly and manage expectations professionally
- Organised, reliable and able to manage a structured consultation process
- Willing to travel and stay on-site for project durations in between Derby and Sheffield
