We are seeking an enthusiastic, team-orientated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at Hart Veterinary Centre on a full-time basis. Hart Veterinary Centre has been caring for pets and their people since 1993 and operates across two modern sites in Bicester and Waddesdon. Our Bicester site is a well-equipped 24-hour hospital with dedicated night nurses, allowing for excellent continuity of care and gold-standard treatment. You’ll be working within a small, friendly team of vets and nurses who value collaboration, clinical excellence and a positive working environment. Our facilities include digital x-ray, dental suite, in-house laboratory equipment, modern anaesthetic monitoring and separate cat and dog wards. We are also proud to be a Silver Standard ISFM Cat Friendly Clinic, promoting low-stress handling and patient-focused care.

How You’ll Make a Difference
As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high-quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences. You’ll work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first opinion cases, contributing to clinical standards, and supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the practice. Shifts are between 9 to 9.5 hours long, 4 days a week, with the earliest start at 7:30am and the latest finish at 7:30pm.
General responsibilities include:
- Deliver nursing care across theatre, inpatient and consultation settings
- Support anaesthesia, surgery and patient monitoring
- Run nurse consultations and provide preventative healthcare advice
- Work collaboratively with the team to deliver excellent patient and client care
