We are a boutique lifestyle hotel based in the cultural, creative and trendy scene of Shoreditch and we are currently on the hunt for a dynamic and charismatic Assistant Maintenance Manager! Your role as an Assistant Maintenance Manager:
- Work with the Maintenance Manager and Rooms Division Director on presenting and delivering CAPEX projects in a timely manner.
- Work with the team to prepare the Capex Plan for the year and provide back up of suggested projects.
- Responsible for supporting hotel compliance with all statutory Fire and Health and Safety legislation alongside Maintenance Manager.
- Completing monthly Property Audits, setting up a calendar of statutory compliance and taking the lead with regards to compliance of the statutory duties of the business, working closely with the Rooms Division Director with this regard.
- Conduct annual performance contracts, setting objectives and expectations against departmental balanced scorecard targets alongside Maintenance Manager.
- Ongoing preventative maintenance programs whilst managing the department’s controllable expenses to achieve or exceed budgeted goals.
- Manage the physical plant including but not limited to equipment, refrigeration, HVAC, plumbing, water treatment, electrical and life safety systems.
- Manage all Maintenance sub-contractors, ensuring their work is carried out to the standard required.
- Develop systems and procedures with high ROI value, increasing cost efficiency and guest satisfaction.
- Communicate with Department Heads by attending meetings and supporting a learning and solutions oriented culture.
- Ensure that the department is compliant with all Health and Safety regulations.
- Responsible for ensuring that basic Fire Training is completed within statutory timings.
- Ensure that the Hotel is fully compliant with all Health and Safety regulations and ensure that all documentation and audits are carried out in a timely manner.
- Work with the Health and Safety company to ensure that all departments are compliant and are completing risk assessments and fire risk assessments.
- Work with the Maintenance Manager and Room Division Director to ensure that all expenses are in line with budget.
- Responsible for presenting monthly results to Heads of Department.
- Ensure that all Maintenance contracts are up to date and are reviewed annually alongside Maintenance Manager.
