We are looking to appoint an excellent and inspirational PE teacher to deliver high quality PE lessons to all classes across the school during teachers’ PPA time. We are a four class village primary school to the South of Cambridge with a strong sporting tradition and have had specialist PE teachers for many years. Parents and children have high expectations of sport and we are fortunate to have a large playing field, a small outdoor swimming pool (used in the Summer term), a wide range of playground markings to promote physical activity and the school hall for dance and gymnastics lessons.
We would like to hear from exceptional candidates, who ideally already have experience at working in a primary school, to continue to build upon the many strengths of the school. We are looking for someone who:
- is committed to providing high quality learning and teaching and expects the best from every child
- has excellent communication skills, is reflective and committed to their own professional development
- has a passion for PE and wants to inspire others
- is willing to lead a weekly after-school sports club and co-ordinate our varied programme of after school sporting activities
- is able to work both independently and as part of a team
We can offer you:
- a welcoming community with hard working staff and enthusiastic children, who love to learn
- a commitment to developing the whole curriculum—we hold the Platinum School Games Mark and are actively involved in the local school sports partnership
- a school that is successful, ambitious and well supported by the Governors, Community and Parents/Carers
- a commitment to your professional development
