We’re looking for a Skilled Plant Technician to join our team and play a key role in maintaining and optimising the performance of our Stoneblower Fleet.
This is your opportunity to work on highly specialised machinery, carry out essential maintenance, and ensure our fleet is always ready for action.
What You’ll Do
- Carry out annual maintenance, modification and repairs on the Stoneblower Fleet
- To maintain machines against the agreed maintenance plan
- Carry out occasional lone working field service repairs at various locations. (full UK driving licence required)
- Machine available for work / for optimum usage in a timely manner
- Servicing completed within required timeframe
- Performance of machine following annual maintenance
- Condition of machine
- Timely ordering of parts / equipment
- 5S within depot
- Complete administration tasks in a timely manner
- Submission of completed maintenance documentation
- Quality of maintenance documentation
What You’ll Bring
- Time-served apprenticeship or preferred recognised qualification in mechanical/electrical/maintenance engineering
- Experience within the railway industry (preferred)
- Strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Fault-finding and repair skills
- Basic IT literacy (Microsoft systems)
- Familiarity with calibration and rail plant operation
- Full UK driving licence
