As Head Chef, you will be at the forefront of our kitchen operations, shaping the culinary direction of the establishment. Your role involves leading the kitchen team, maintaining high standards of food quality, monitoring KPIs and ensuring operational efficiency. This is a pivotal leadership position for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the team through positive and constructive methods.
- Achieve consistent GP results.
- Accurate labour forecast to ensure that targets are achieved.
- Maintain a high customer satisfaction score.
- Ensure the Prep Team & Goods receiver are following management instructions.
- Precise ordering to ensure full menu availability and minimum wastage.
- Ensure accurate daily due diligence.
- Look after staff wellbeing, working towards high staff retention.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Train and mentor kitchen staff to maintain high food standards.
- Pioneer a positive work environment and foster teamwork.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Head Chef or similar role in a busy kitchen environment.
- Strong culinary skills and a passion for quality and creativity.
- Leadership abilities with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Complete understanding of EBITDA & GP.
- Understanding PnLs to make positive cuts, increasing overall profit.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Experience in organising and leading a large kitchen team.
