About This Role
The role: You will be responsible for the on-shift operation of the Sports Club under the direction of the Deputy Sports Facilities Manager, sometimes as the duty manager. When supervising the reception, you will collect monies and provide exemplary customer service. The hygiene and safety of the facilities will be paramount as you pay close attention to ensure standards remain high. You will lead and motivate the team to provide a service that reflects the high expectations of the Harrow brand. It is an especially good role for those who enjoy the variety of assisting at events, or would like the option to develop in other areas of the fitness environment, as there is flexibility to work in our gymnasium, or to pick up some lifeguard experience. There is also an opportunity for those with a swimming instructor or fitness teaching qualification to pay a nominal fee to use the facilities to conduct their own private lessons.

The Skills
This role will suit a candidate with minimum of two years of experience in the leisure industry with a current NPLQ. A First Aid at Work and Pool Plant Operator are desirable although training will be provided for the right candidate. You will have a keen eye for detail and a passion for taking initiative and responsibility to provide a clean, safe, pleasurable environment for pupils, customers and colleagues. Using your strong written and verbal communication skills; tactful, approachable manner and ability to positively motivate others you will build strong, effective professional relationships throughout the School.
