OUTREACH ADMINISTRATION OFFICER (LUMINA REGISTRAR & PROGRAMME OFFICER)

Permanent contract, full time, 40 hours per week Monday to Friday, with flexibility to start late and work until 19.00 when online lessons are taking place and on occasional Saturdays to support special learning programmes. State School term time only, 39 weeks per year.

Lumina provides personalized online tuition and mentorship, fostering academic success, building self-esteem, and creating a network of support for vulnerable students at no cost to partner schools, young people, carers, or local authorities. The role:

The Lumina Registrar & Programme Officer provides comprehensive administrative support, recruitment coordination, and digital engagement to enable the effective delivery and growth of the programme. Key duties include:

  • Teacher Recruitment & Onboarding: Proactively engaging prospective volunteer teachers, running recruitment campaigns, guiding candidates through onboarding, and tracking safeguarding checks.
  • Student Pairing & Attendance: Managing tutor/pupil schedules, matching tutors with care-experienced young people alongside Local Authorities, maintaining delivery registers, and executing prompt follow-ups within 24 hours on missed sessions.
  • Digital Outreach & Social Media: Supporting Lumina's social media presence by gathering impact stories, tutor spotlights, and student milestones in line with safeguarding guidelines.
  • Event Logistics: Coordinating room bookings, catering, and on-site arrangements for in-person enrichment events and revision courses.
