The predicted salary is between 13 - 16 Β£ per hour.

Fixed term, Maternity cover. Average of 30 hours per week worked over 39 weeks a year (term time plus six additional weeks) Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday between 08:30 and 15:30 and Friday 07:30-13:00.

The role: The Lead Nurse is a pivotal and valued role within the team. Alongside the Practice Manager and the School Doctor, the Lead Nurse is responsible for ensuring that the Medical Centre delivers high quality and comprehensive health care services to the School and responds appropriately to medical queries or situations as they arise. The Lead Nurse will lead, manage and motivate members of the nursing team, whilst promoting a caring, confidential and inclusive approach across the community.

The skills: This role is a great opportunity if you are NMC registered with significant post-registration experience, and recent line management experience. You will have previous experience in either practice nursing or school nursing and health education, excellent interpersonal skills, and a commitment to the physical and mental health of young people.

The environment: Harrow School is situated within a beautiful site in Harrow on the Hill, northwest London, and is one of the best-known schools in the world, with around 830 boys studying at Harrow. The Medical Centre at Harrow School provides a comprehensive health care service for the boys and employees of the School - both teaching and non-teaching staff. The level of involvement with the latter is largely on an emergency basis only.
