The successful applicant will teach Mathematics at all levels. They are expected to make an enthusiastic contribution to the work of the department and further the high profile of the department among Harrovians. They will contribute to the Super‑Curriculum, which includes electives, lectures and other academic extensions, attend chapel regularly and the speech room (assembly) once a week. They will also act as a tutor in a house, supporting the house master in the pastoral care of a group of boys, teach PSHEE to a tutor group and contribute to extra‑curricular activities, which are an important part of boarding‑school life.

Responsibilities

  • Teach Mathematics at all levels within the school curriculum.
  • Contribute to the Super‑Curriculum, including electives, lectures and academic extension sessions.
  • Attend chapel regularly and the speech room (assembly) once a week.
  • Serve as a tutor in a house and support the house master in pastoral care of boys.
  • Teach PSHEE to a tutor group.
  • Contribute to extra‑curricular activities.

Qualifications & Support

Support and training to achieve Qualified Teacher Status can be offered if required. We occasionally appoint Masters with outstanding qualities and a good degree who do not have a formal teaching qualification.
