Educational Visits Coordinator – Harrow School Farm at Harrow School

Location: 5 High Street, Harrow-on-the-Hill, Greater London, HA1 3HP

Contract Type: Fixed Term

Salary: £30,000.00 – £35,000.00 Annually (FTE). The salary shown is the full time equivalent rate of this part time role.

About This Role

Contract summary:

  • Contract length: One year fixed term initially, with the possibility of extension
  • Working hours: Part time, approximately 16 hours per week, ideally daily Monday to Friday but mutual flexibility to support the needs of the business will be discussed at interview. Term time only – 33 weeks per year.

The Role

Are you passionate about education, the environment, and community engagement? We’re offering an exciting opportunity to join our Social Enterprise team as an Education Visits Co-ordinator – a key role in opening up our working farm to schools and community groups. You will:

  • Take a proactive approach to organise and manage school and community visits to the farm
  • Develop engaging, curriculum-linked resources and activities
  • Build relationships with local schools, youth groups, and charities
  • Promote the farm’s educational offer through outreach and events
  • Ensure all visits are safe, inclusive, and enriching for every participant

The Skills

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Enthusiastic about outdoor learning and environmental education
  • Experienced in working with children and young people
  • Organised, creative, and confident in leading groups

This role may be of particular interest if you have previous experience as a teacher or teaching assistant, or have been involved with creating structured learning programmes, with a skill for enthusing and motivating students.
