36 hours/week 7.15am - 3.15pm Monday to Friday (50 minute unpaid lunch break)

Our caretaker plays an important role in the smooth running of our school. You will help create a safe, secure and welcoming environment in which children can learn and staff can work effectively.
Safeguarding and Safer Recruitment
Stag Lane Primary School & Nursery is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people and expects all staff to share this commitment. This appointment will be conditional on successful pre-employment checks. These will include identity, right to work, references, criminal records, barred list references, qualifications and medical checks, together with any applicable prohibition, and overseas checks. As part of our safer recruitment process, we also commission an external provider to undertake online searches, including checks of publicly available social media content, for shortlisted candidates. About You
We are looking for a reliable, practical and hardworking Caretaker to help maintain a safe, secure and welcoming environment for our children, staff and visitors.
The successful candidate will take pride in the school site, helping to ensure that the building and grounds are well maintained, clean, safe and ready for the school day. Duties will include carrying out routine maintenance and repairs, completing daily site checks, supporting health and safety procedures and assisting with the setup of rooms and equipment.
We are looking for someone who takes initiative, works well independently and can respond calmly and efficiently to the changing needs of a busy school.
