Stanburn Primary School is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to work in an Additionally Resourced Mainstream Unit (ARMS) connected to our primary school. This is a full-time position starting in spring term, with 30.83 hours per week, Monday to Friday, from 8.40am to 3.20pm (30min lunch break). The pay scale is Grade G2.8 (£20,680 per annum pro rata salary - FTE: 0.7489), term time only for 39 weeks (including 5 INSET Days).

The successful candidate will have experience working with SEND children and a good understanding of the challenges that can arise in this environment. You will be responsible for supporting the students with their daily activities and learning, working closely with the ARMS unit leader and other staff members to provide a positive and inclusive learning environment.

- Support SEND children with their learning and development;

- Ensure all pupils make progress by supporting the pupil and the Leader;
- Be a team player who is able to demonstrate a willingness and ability to accept responsibility;
- Assist with the planning of a range of interesting, age-appropriate activities;

- Be proactive, self-motivated and have an attention for detail;
- Be imaginative, enthusiastic and hardworking, with excellent organisational, communication and people skills;
- Be respectful to each individual child and their learning journey with us and support them in reaching their full potential;
- Build positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues;
- Liaise with parents and carers to provide updates on progress;
- Have a keen eye for health and safety and safeguarding issues;
- Have NNEB, NVQ/CACHE Level 3 qualification (desirable but not essential);
- Have a good, professional level of spoken and written English;
- Provide emotional support to students when needed.
