Overview
In this role you will manage leasehold and freehold matters for a designated portfolio, ensuring statutory, contractual and policy obligations are met while delivering high-quality resident service. You will administer major works, Section 20 consultations, service charge calculations, invoicing and income collection, and oversee debt recovery. The position involves handling right-to-buy, enfranchisement, and lease enforcement, with wide stakeholder collaboration to protect the Council’s interests and maximise income. This is a dynamic, customer-focused role that requires flexibility and strong communication to keep residents informed and supported.
Responsibilities
- Manage leasehold and freehold administration across the portfolio
- Administer major works projects including Section 20 consultations and related billing
- Calculate and bill service charges; oversee income collection and debt recovery
- Progress right-to-buy, assignments, enfranchisement, write-offs and write-backs
- Enforce lease conditions; investigate breaches and anti-social behaviour
- Provide advice and clear communication to leaseholders/freeholders; respond to service requests
- Maintain compliance with legislation, contracts, policies and best practice
- Collaborate with Asset Management, Legal Services, contractors, service providers and residents
- Support workload management and cover for team members when needed
- Protect Council interests and maximise income through effective management
- Uphold high standards of customer service and positive resident relationships
