Responsibilities
- Manage a diverse caseload across housing and civil litigation
- Provide practical, solution-focused legal advice
- Handle possession proceedings, homelessness challenges, anti-social behaviour injunctions, disrepair, judicial review, debt recovery, civil and commercial property litigation
- Advise on client policies and procedures
- Opportunities for advocacy where appropriate
- Mentor junior colleagues, contribute to training and best-practice development
- Collaborate with officers and senior management across four local authorities
- Key requirements
- A qualified Solicitor, Barrister or CILEX with litigation practising rights, or soon to qualify
- Experience in housing law, homelessness, disrepair, anti-social behaviour, judicial review, debt recovery and/or civil litigation
- Ability to provide practical, commercially focused legal advice
