Overview
In this role you will manage a caseload across homelessness, housing allocations and judicial review, advising four local authorities. You’ll join a respected Housing and Civil Litigation Team and may mentor junior colleagues and contribute to training. The position supports authorities and housing-related matters with practical, solution-focused guidance. This is a meaningful public-service opportunity to shape housing justice across multiple councils.
Responsibilities
- Manage your own caseload across homelessness, housing allocations and judicial review
- Provide practical, solution-focused legal advice to clients
- Mentor junior colleagues and contribute to training and best-practice development
- Support broader housing and civil litigation work as needed
- Deliver high-quality client care across four local authorities
Key requirements
- Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or CILEX with litigation practising rights or due to qualify
- Experience with Parts 6 and 7 Housing Act 1996 and judicial review
- Able to provide practical and commercially focused legal advice
- Capable of managing competing demands and prioritising caseloads
