Overview

The London Borough of Harrow is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Business Support Administration Apprentice to join its Business Support Service within the Resources & Innovation Directorate.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone at the beginning of their career who is keen to gain valuable workplace experience while developing professional administrative skills.

Working alongside experienced colleagues, you will learn how to provide high‑quality administrative support that helps services run smoothly and efficiently across the Council.

As an apprentice, you will receive hands‑on training and support while assisting with a wide range of administrative duties.

These will include managing correspondence, handling telephone and email enquiries, maintaining accurate records, supporting meetings and events, processing documents, updating databases and using Microsoft Office applications.

You will also learn how to deliver excellent customer service, work with confidential information and contribute to the effective operation of a busy office environment.

The role offers exposure to a variety of business support activities, helping you build practical skills and confidence in a professional setting.

This apprenticeship is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, is organised and willing to learn.

You do not need extensive experience, as training and development will be provided throughout your apprenticeship journey.
