The London Borough of Harrow is looking for an experienced and passionate Tutor to join its Adult and Community Learning Service based at the Kenton Learning Centre. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on adult learners by delivering engaging, inclusive, and high-quality education programmes that support personal development, employment opportunities and lifelong learning.

The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping curriculum delivery, maintaining excellent teaching standards, supporting learner progression and contributing to the continuous improvement of the service. Working closely with colleagues, partners and stakeholders, you will help ensure that programmes remain innovative, responsive to local needs and aligned with quality and funding requirements.

About You

  • Relevant teaching qualification (e.g. CELTA, Award in Education and Training or equivalent).
  • Experience delivering teaching, learning and assessment within an adult education or training environment.
  • Strong understanding of learner assessment, progress tracking and achievement.
  • Ability to create inclusive learning environments that support a diverse range of learners.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience developing learning resources and planning engaging lessons.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding, equality and diversity, and learner support requirements.
  • Ability to contribute to quality standards and continuous improvement.
