Overview2 Year Fixed-Term Contract As a Health Improvement Officer - Partnerships and Inequalities at the London Borough of Harrow, you will have the opportunity to play a vital role in improving the health and wellbeing of residents across the borough.
Working within the Public Health team, you will support the delivery of key public health priorities, helping to reduce health inequalities and improve outcomes in areas such as substance misuse, tobacco control and wider health improvement initiatives.
Through the development of strategies, needs assessments, action plans and evaluations, you will contribute to evidence-based programmes that make a real difference to local communities.
This is a highly collaborative role that involves building and maintaining strong relationships with a wide range of partners, including NHS organisations, voluntary and community sector groups, local authority services and regional stakeholders.
You will lead and support projects that bring partners together to address complex public health challenges, ensuring that local services are responsive to the needs of Harrow's diverse population.

About You The sucessful Candidate will have: Demonstrable experience of leading complex projects or workstreams involving multiple stakeholders, while working independently and with minimal supervision.
Ability to apply public health principles, evidence and data to develop effective solutions within statutory, governance and policy frameworks.
Knowledge and understanding of public health, particularly in relation to tackling health inequalities, substance misuse, tobacco control and wider health improvement priorities.
Experience of analysing and interpreting complex information to support recommendations, service improvements and decision-making.
Ability to manage competing priorities and adapt plans in response to changing circumstances while meeting deadlines.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present information and data clearly and effectively in both written and verbal formats.
Strong partnership-building and interpersonal skills, enabling productive relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
Experience of working in a customer-focused environment, with a commitment to delivering high-quality services and excellent customer care.
Strong research skills, including the ability to undertake desktop and face-to-face research to inform projects, strategies and service development.
Excellent organisational, planning and time management skills, including coordinating meetings, producing accurate minutes and ensuring timely follow-up actions.
