An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust as the Finance Manager supporting a Clinical Directorate. We are Level 1 accredited One NHS Finance employer, working towards level 2. The Finance Manager provides first-line financial management support and advice to Directors and Budget Managers, and will be a member of the Directorate Senior Management Team and a member of the Senior Finance Team. We are looking for someone who will adopt a modern, proactive and dynamic approach to ensure the efficient and effective use of financial resources.
The post holder will provide financial performance management and business planning information relating to the Directorate activities and budgets that are integral to the achievement of the objectives and targets set by the Trust. To assist the Clinical Director and Operational Director in preparing the directorates business plan, ensuring cost pressures and service changes are identified and resourced appropriately. To contribute to the Trust’s annual and longer term financial strategy and business planning process.
To manage and oversee the provision of timely and accurate financial management information, analysis and advice used for performance monitoring and decision-making. To develop the use of information technology as a means of recording and disseminating information to service users. To lead on developing and maintaining professional standards within the Finance Department and to actively seek and encourage feedback from users of financial services to enable continuous improvement plans to be implemented.
