Overview

We are looking for a Uniformed Security Officer that will prevent and detect offences against staff, visitors and contractors and will safeguard the company\’s property, merchandise, monies and assets.

Responsibilities

  • Prevent and detect offences against staff, visitors and contractors and safeguard the company\’s property, merchandise, monies and assets.
  • Work closely with a team of Uniformed Security officers to actively patrol the store and be on the lookout for potential offences.
  • Liaise with employees, the public, and police on day-to-day security matters, meet with other investigative agencies and conduct inquiries on their behalf if needed.
  • Keep up to date with any legislation that may affect your role.

About You

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, as well as proficiency in conflict management and resolution techniques.
  • A high standard of personal appearance and a level of health and fitness that enables you to carry out the full duties, which may include dealing with confrontational situations and standing or patrolling for long periods of time.
  • Mental resilience to occupational hazards like abusive and threatening behaviour, dealing with confrontation and pressures.
  • Shift pattern: 4 on 4 off, may include working at other Company premises and weekends, night work, Bank Holidays or Public Holidays as normal days of work.
  • Flexibility to accommodate extra hours and/or days of work as required, with adequate notice (typically 48 hours).
