We are currently looking for full time Uniformed Security Team Manager to join our established Uniformed Security team. The Uniformed Security team are responsible to ensure the safety and security of our customers and employees, with the manager role overseeing a team of officers, ensuring the integrity of the store is maintained and protecting the business from threats and crime.
About the Role
The role of a Uniformed Security Team Manager is to detect and prevent offences against the company, its staff, customers, products and assets. This role is responsible for the security function of the Knightsbridge site, including the accountability and duty of care for all personnel on site. You’ll provide effective management of the uniformed security team, ensuring they carry out their duties in a diligent and effective manner. You will also manage and oversee the execution of standard operating procedures in the event of an incident. This role will also be responsible for maintaining the morale of their team and manage performance of all team members.
The role necessitates a 4 on 4 off shift pattern that may include working at other company premises and includes weekends, night work, Bank Holidays and Public Holidays as normal days of work. Additionally, extra hours and/or days of work may be required and/or changed by the department (providing adequate notice).
About You
You’ll be responsible for protecting both the public and staff, this role will include an element of risk in order to protect others from harm. It is necessary for you to have a standard of personal fitness that allows you to carry out your full duties (including standing, sitting and concentrating for long periods of time) and, if necessary, being able to carry out the use of arrest, restraint techniques and physical intervention.
You will also:
- Have excellent interpersonal skills to provide the highest standards of customer service to both internal and external customers.
- Have great conflict management and resolution skills (able to assume control and coordinate the security response) in the event of an incident taking place.
- Have the ability to build relationships across the business and ensure team members work together.
- Have strong IT skills.
- Be able to demonstrate strong management capabilities; challenging, coaching and training your team to maximise their performance.
- Be flexible with regards to hours and days of work as the successful candidate may be required to fill any shortfalls on shift that the department feels is required.
