This is an exciting opportunity to take pride in your work, enjoy independence on the road, and represent one of the world’s most iconic luxury brands. Join a supportive team where professionalism, energy, and attention to detail are celebrated every day. You will take ownership of your vehicle, paperwork, and route while delivering excellent service to colleagues and partners.

This role is based on a standard 40-hour working week, with any overtime paid at 1.5x pay. Shifts are 8 hours in total and consist of 2 trips per day with a minute break in between. All drivers are required to work 1 Saturday and 1 Sunday per month, and each driver will also receive a block of 4 consecutive days off each month. You will be driving our 18 tonne Class 2 HGV, so a minimum of 2 years’ HGV driving experience is preferred. In addition to driving, all drivers are responsible for loading and unloading their own vehicle, including handling pallets, rails, and cages (on wheels).

Responsibilities include:

  • Take pride in representing Harrods on every journey, delivering our products with care and professionalism.
  • Drive independently while being a key part of a dedicated team keeping our supply chain running smoothly.
  • Enjoy the responsibility of managing your own vehicle, paperwork, and route.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring every delivery is signed for and handled with precision.
  • Load, unload, and secure goods yourself, ensuring safe handling of pallets, rails, and cages.
  • Maintain your vehicle and uniform to reflect the Harrods brand.
  • Follow drivers’ hours, EU Working Time Directive, and complete accurate tachograph records.
  • Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects promptly.
  • Adhere to all company policies and health and safety procedures.

As part of the team at Thatcham, you will also benefit from a heavily subsidised canteen offering breakfast, lunch, dinner and all-day snacks, local recognition schemes with £25 prizes, exclusive giveaways, and staff trips to our Knightsbridge store. In addition, Harrods offers a range of company-wide benefits including up to 33% Harrods staff discount, subsidised medical and dental cover, discounted gym membership and more.

You are a confident and professional driver who takes pride in your work and enjoys being trusted with responsibility. Calm under pressure and adaptable to changing priorities, you thrive both independently and as part of a supportive team. You are motivated to deliver excellence every day, ensuring every journey reflects the Harrods standard of care and attention.

You will:

  • Communicate clearly and courteously with colleagues, customers, and partner sites.
  • Take ownership of loading, securing, and delivering goods with precision.
  • Manage your time effectively, multitask confidently, and solve problems proactively.
  • Adapt quickly to changing routes, priorities, and operational need.
  • Hold a clean UK driving licence, Category C or C+E, a valid Driver CPC, and a digital tachograph card.
  • Be aged 21 or over for insurance purposes.
  • Have experience with SAP or be keen to learn.
  • Work flexibly, five days over seven, with additional shifts during busy periods.
  • Keep your uniform and vehicle clean, smart, and presentable.
