We are looking for a Senior HR Assistant (Employee Screening) to join our HR team here at Harrods. You will be pivotal in ensuring the integrity and accuracy of employee records and background checks, contributing to the overall effectiveness of our HR processes.
About the Role
The Senior HR Assistant will be responsible for the administration and compliance of our Employee Screening policy and processes. You will also support when needed in the day-to-day supervision of the HR Assistants, ensuring all teams' tasks are delivered and cases are resolved timely and accurately.
Job Responsibilities
- Collaborates with our background checking provider for fulfilment of all screening checks accurately and to deadline and is fully compliant with their contractual obligations.
- Analyse background check results, escalating to the Director of HR Operations, and to senior business leaders, according to our decision matrix and policy.
- Generate regular reports on the status of right to work and employment screening processes.
- Stay up to date with relevant laws and regulations relating to Right to Work and background checks.
- Uphold the highest standards of confidentiality when handling sensitive employee information.
About You
The ideal candidate will be someone who has a high level of attention to detail, confidentiality, and a commitment to upholding the company's standards of ethical and legal HR practices. It is important that you have a strong detailed knowledge of Right to Work and employment screening legislation as well as the ability to manage a supplier according to their contractual obligations.
You will also have the following:
- Strong focus on reporting, with the ability to report against SLA, deadlines, quality and compliance.
- High attention to detail and the ability to process high volumes of work at an exceptional standard.
- Customer first mindset with a depth of thinking that gets to the heart of customer needs.
- Ability to be a credible partner across all HR stakeholders, including Resourcing, HR Governance and ER.
- Strong knowledge across all employment legislation, HR policies and the employee life cycle.
