The Penthouse at Harrods is now looking for a Senior Bartender to join our Hospitality team. In one of Harrods' most exclusive environments, you’ll play a key role in delivering exceptional experiences through outstanding cocktail craftsmanship, luxury service, and genuine guest connection.

Working within our luxury lounges and private suites, you'll create memorable moments for some of the world's most discerning guests, combining technical expertise with creativity, confidence, and impeccable attention to detail.

About the Role

You will be responsible for overseeing bar operations and delivering a world-class beverage experience that reflects the standards and reputation of The Penthouse at Harrods. Reporting to the Hospitality Management team, you'll be instrumental in ensuring every guest interaction is personalised, seamless, and memorable, ensuring that every pour, from a rare vintage to a custom-tailored creation, is precise, discreet, and deeply personalised.

You will:

  • Liquid Artistry: Act as the quintessential craftsman, anticipating taste preferences before they are voiced. You will deliver a cocktail service that is innovative yet timeless, ensuring every drink is a masterpiece of balance and presentation.
  • Technical Mastery: Partner with the Hospitality Managers to support with the development of seasonal serves and bespoke infusions, ensuring the team can navigate complex guest requests with grace and expertise.
  • The Theatre of the Bar: Oversee the choreography of the bar station and back-of-house preparations. You will manage inventory with precision, ensuring that rare allocations are handled with care and the bar environment always remains immaculate and “stage-ready”.
  • Collaborative Excellence: Partner with the floor team to ensure a seamless transition from lounge to bar. You will handle guest feedback with the poise and gravitas required in a high-profile setting, transforming a simple drink order into a memorable event.

This role is fully on site, working 5 out of the 7 days a week.

About You

You will be an experienced bartender with a passion for luxury hospitality and a commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences. Comfortable working in a high-profile environment, you'll bring a combination of technical expertise, creativity, and polished service skills.

You are a technician, a storyteller, and a mentor who understands that in the world of ultra-luxury, the bar is a stage where 'good' is the enemy of 'exceptional.'

You will:

  • Presence: You possess the gravitas to own the bar and the cultural awareness to converse effortlessly with global icons and UHNW individuals while maintaining perfect technique.
  • Precision: You operate with a pre-emptive mindset, reading the room and subtle cues to stay two steps ahead of the guest’s next order.
  • Passion: You are a collaborative professional with a deep obsession for the history of spirits and the future of cocktail culture.
  • Experience: A proven track record in high-end bar operations, with a mastery of classic techniques and a portfolio of innovative creations suitable for a flagship luxury environment.
