We’re currently looking for a full time Sales Specialist to join our prestigious Wines & Spirits department. With Harrods’ Wines & Spirits department being home to over 1,400 wines and 400 varieties of spirits, it is the ultimate destination for both aficionados and novices alike.
As a Sales Specialist in the Wines & Spirits department, you’ll enjoy a package that includes a minimum salary of £29,010 + commission, as well as access to our renowned Harrods benefits, including generous discounts across our store and restaurants.
About the RoleOur Wines & Spirits Specialists are responsible for providing a world-class, personal customer service, demonstrating exceptional product knowledge, and building quality customer relationships to achieve business goals whilst being an ambassador for the values and Harrods brand.
About YouYou will have a passion for wines and spirits (ideally having prior working experience within the industry) and developing your knowledge within this field. You are invested in Harrods, clienteling and providing world class customer service – going above and beyond to create moments of delight.
- Have technical knowledge about wines and spirits (WSET Level 2 or 3 / any similar qualification, including the making and aging processes, and their stock management is beneficial but not essential)
- Be aware of the key principles and processes involved in the storage and service of wine, and in the pairing of food and wines.
- Be able to advise and inform clients on the right type of wines and spirits based on their preferences.
- Enjoy the challenge of achieving sales targets.
- Be resilient and adaptable to your audience and environment, believing that anything is possible.
- Have great organisational skills to keep the shop floor running smoothly.
- Be collaborative in your nature, and thrive as part of a team, building relationships with colleagues and customers alike.
