Our Store Development team has a rare opening for a Project Manager with Construction experience to join the team. You will have the opportunity to lead multiple high-budget projects end-to-end, working closely with over 300 brands across our ready-to-wear categories including Menswear, Womenswear, Childrenswear, and Shoes. You will have a varied role juggling a mixture of key projects, from liaising with our largest brand designers and keeping their teams on track, to working with smaller, up-and-coming brands who have taken the world by storm and need your support to get them set up.

About The Role

You will manage multiple projects across our 6-floor story building. It is an exciting time to join as we head into a new phase of excellence at Harrods. You will have the opportunity to lead projects that will shape the future of Harrods. In this role, you will…

  • Develop and manage briefs from stakeholders.
  • Appoint and direct consultant teams, manage projects as the client representative, and deliver from inception to completion.
  • Analyse and review schemes presented by designers and architects for various Harrods projects, facilitating meetings and communicating effectively with all parties.
  • Assist in the development of the Store Planning strategy.
  • Implement Health and Safety regulations, Planning and Building Control regulations, and all statutory regulations including CDM.
  • Liaise with all user groups within Harrods, such as Buying Teams, Retail, Store Operations, Security, Fire Safety, HIS, Engineers, etc.
  • Be an effective team member within the wider Store Development team.

About You

Due to the technical nature of Harrods' structure, knowledge and understanding of architecture, surveying, and construction are key. A genuine interest in luxury fashion retail and confidence liaising with stakeholders internally and externally are essential. You should be proactive and driven to push projects forward, regardless of size.

We are looking for…

  • Professional qualification in a construction-related degree, HND, or equivalent, with a clear understanding of good design principles.
  • Knowledge and experience of UK Construction Contracts.
  • Experience in luxury or retail environments is highly beneficial.
  • Practical experience in store planning and project management from inception to completion.
  • Ability to oversee and guide a design team responsible for project designs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, tact, diplomacy, strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Enthusiasm, confidence, and determination to complete projects successfully.
