We are recruiting passionate Product Demonstrator to join our exciting Kitchen and Household department. The Product Demonstrator is responsible for creating magical, memorable moments of delight and providing a world class customer service, demonstrating exceptional product & food knowledge and building quality customer relationships to achieve business goals whilst being an ambassador for the Harrods brand.
About The Role
Product Demonstrator will demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of all products within the department and increase sales by selecting products to meet customer requirements. This role will understand and properly execute all systems and POS procedures to ensure prompt and efficient sales transactions and full compliance.
Creating an engaging atmosphere in the demonstration kitchen space, drawing customers in with sampling and driving sales, the Product Demonstrator will have an out of the box thinking mentality, to surprise and delight customers with exceptional customer service, demonstration, and interpersonal skills.
About You
With a background in customer service and food demonstrations, ideally within retail and/or hospitality, and have a passion for Homewares and Food, our expectations, standards, and pace will stretch and develop you. We’re a friendly team that works together and shares the pressures, but don’t under-estimate the challenges. Ours is a fast-paced environment and you’ll need:
- Food Safety & Hygiene Level 2 Certification is advantageous, but not essential.
- A genuine interest and passion for food and Harrods.
- Self-motivation to learn and develop your product and industry knowledge.
- A strong ability to work within a team.
- Great organisational skills to always keep the demonstration kitchen active
- Flexibility to work weekends and across Harrods’ opening hours.
- Driving sales for the department through positive customer engagement.
- The ability to collaborate with senior stakeholders, food health and safety, buyers, and brands.
