The role of the Private Shopping Assistant is to support our team of Private Client Managers (PCM’s), in the delivery of exceptional service to our most loyal clients. Our Client facing Private Shopping team are critical to achieving this ambition.

That’s where the role of Private Shopping Assistant comes in.
You will be responsible for supporting our team of PCM’s to deliver the absolute highest level of service in each and every interaction. Together you will build exceptional relationships with clients, run a seamless service and anticipate client needs, often before they ask. This role will be a Fixed Term Contract (FTC) position until March 2027.
As a Private Shopping Assistant, you will be assisting the Private Client Manager with servicing the client, this might be during an appointment or making arrangements before or afterwards. You’ll be accountable for making all the arrangements of the appointment including; room booking, acting as a ‘runner’ for size swaps and alternatives, and spotting additional needs of the client.
As well as the above you will also:
- Arrange add on services. This may include; alterations, restaurants, beauty appointments, parking, and other services across the store.
- Develop effective relationships and having meaningful conversations with clients to build rapport and trust. Your relationships will allow you to gather and plan client needs in the absence of the PCM.
- Manage online requests from clients.
- Create 'Suspended Transactions' for our team of Transaction Assistants to process.
- Investigate quotes for dispatch and delivery arrangements, both locally and internationally as required through our in-store specialists.
- Look for opportunities to surprise and delight clients based on your understanding of their personal preferences.
This role is a Fixed Term Contract, fully on site, working 5 out of the 7 days a week.
To be successful within this role, you will have experience working within a retail environment, be a strong communicator, and be able to create genuine long lasting relationships and also stay positive under pressure. A successful assistant is one that is resilient and can adapt to change throughout your working day, who will not shy away from any queries or tasks.
