As a Private Shopper you will build deep authentic relationships with your portfolio of clients, anticipating their needs before they do. You’ll pair this with a global awareness of luxury trends and product developments and use your insight to make tailored recommendations. This will enable you to grow client spend in a genuine and value adding sales through service way – whilst building loyalty and advocacy for the Private Shopping service.
The Private shopper role is a key focus within our Private Shopping team where no day is the same. Below are some of the responsibilities:
Building deep, meaningful client relationships with your portfolio of end-user clients in order to deliver an intuitive service which will maximise sales
Engage pro-actively and in a planful way with your client portfolio, being influential with ideas and recommendations in a personalised way
Spotting opportunities to develop our service or offering and influencing internal stakeholders and brand partners accordingly
Preselect items for clients and present options. This may be during a physical appointment or virtually
Consistently reviewing your client portfolio to prioritise actions and spot opportunities. Working in partnership with the Client Relationship Manager and Private Shopping Manager to grow your client base and engage new leads as required

Proven experience of building authentic relationships built on trust, both with the client and internal and external stakeholders.
Strong communication and listening skills; interpreting the needs of clients and acting upon them
Ability to hold engaging and meaningful conversations with clients as well as being culturally aware and having worldly knowledge
Pre-emptive and pro-active: acting upon client insight and anticipating their wants and needs as well as growing the client relationship to drive it forward. This may be conversational insight or using data and reporting
Depth and breadth of luxury product knowledge, both within Harrods and beyond.
