As a Print and Packaging Assistant Designer, you'll play a key role in researching, designing, and delivering innovative packaging and print concepts that reflect Harrods' premium aesthetic and strategic direction. Working closely with the Design Manager and wider teams, you'll contribute to seasonal strategies, support product development, and ensure designs are delivered efficiently and to the highest standard.
Supporting the creation of packaging and print designs across multiple categories, from concept to supplier-ready briefs. Collaborating with Buying, Merchandising, and Technical teams to ensure designs meet commercial and aesthetic goals. Managing cutter guides, typography, graphic layouts, and print specifications with precision and creativity. Liaising with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of high-quality samples and adherence to sustainability commitments. Contributing to trend research, mood boards, and in-season design updates to drive innovation and respond to customer needs.
Depending on your role, you may be fully on-site or have a mix of on-site and home working - this is what we refer to as 'Hybrid'. Our hybrid working policy allows colleagues to work from home for part of the week, with a minimum of three days on-site, depending on business needs.
You will be a creative and detail-oriented designer with a passion for premium packaging and print. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, are confident managing multiple projects, and bring a proactive, solution-focused mindset to everything you do. Your ability to collaborate across teams and communicate effectively with suppliers will be key to your success in this role.
You must have:
- Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (especially Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign).
- A keen eye for typography, layout, and retouching, with a premium design sensibility.
- Experience in packaging design, including technical knowledge of materials, finishes, and supplier processes.
