We have an exciting opportunity for a Network Support Engineer to join our IT team here at Harrods. You will provide technical support for Harrod’s Data Network across LAN, WAN, Wireless, Security and SDA environments
About The Role
The Network Support Engineer Implement, promote and enforce standards, safeguards, and procedures concerning the technical architecture of the Cisco Core Networking layer across multiple sites, WAN environment, while considering newer Software Defined technologies, Security layers and Load balancing environments using industry best practices.
You will also;
- Review advances Networking and Security practises in line with PCI DSS
- Ensure adoption of Change Project Office standards and other governance practises across all areas
- Ensure maximum service availability and performance through proactive monitoring, reporting and continuous improvement to service and processes
- Implement security solutions and practices to deal with risks and threats on environments within the remit of the role
About You
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in LAN & WAN – CCNP Level in Cisco technologies and demonstrable knowledge of Cisco Switching (Nexus 9K series, Nexus 7K series & Catalyst 9000 Series) VLAN, STP, VPC, QoS, Overlay technologies, Multicast. It is important that you have a strong understanding of NAC & role-based access control, configuring and deploying as well as strong Routing capabilities.
You will also have the following;
- Previous experience in wireless networking and security layer.
- Good understanding of VPN technologies
- Good understanding of Cloud – Public/Private/Hybrid
- Clear communication skills both written and verbal
- Great attention to detail
- Ability to design best fit solutions
