Join Harrods as Head of Sustainability and lead the charge in embedding ESG strategy across the business to shape a more responsible and future‑focused organisation. Reporting to the Chief Brand & Reputation Officer, the Head of Sustainability will be instrumental in delivering Harrods’ ESG strategy, driving forward complex initiatives that embed sustainability into every facet of our business. This high‑impact leadership role spans across all ESG pillars – Our Business, Our Products, Partnership & Innovation, Our People, and Our Community – requiring strong stakeholder engagement, strategic oversight and a passion for creating meaningful change.
Responsibilities
- Lead the ESG team to deliver on Harrods’ sustainability strategy across all pillars.
- Identify and champion new initiatives that support our sustainability commitments.
- Engage senior leaders and wider teams to embed ESG into business operations and culture.
- Build influential relationships across the business to drive ESG priorities forward.
Qualifications and Experience
- Use data and insights to monitor progress, guide decisions and support ESG reporting.
- Be a strategic thinker with deep expertise in ESG, capable of translating complex sustainability goals into actionable outcomes.
- Demonstrate the ability to inspire and develop high‑performing teams, and to challenge the status‑quo in a forward‑thinking retailer.
- Proven experience in a senior ESG or sustainability role, with a track record of delivering strategic initiatives.
- Exceptional communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage at all levels.
- Strong analytical capabilities, using data to inform decisions and drive continuous improvement.
Working Arrangement
Depending on the role, you may be fully on‑site or have a mix of on‑site and home working – our hybrid policy allows colleagues to work from home part of the week, with a minimum of three days on‑site, depending on business needs.
