As an Employee Relations Assistant Manager, you'll lead a team of seven ER Advisors, guiding them through complex casework and ensuring high standards across all employee relations matters. You'll be the go-to expert for sensitive and high-risk cases, deputising for the ER Manager when needed, and shaping policies that keep us ahead of best practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coach a team of ER Advisors, driving performance and development.
- Lead on complex disciplinary, grievance, and performance cases, ensuring compliance with UK employment law.
- Support ER policy reviews and process improvements.
- Deliver ER training to managers and HR colleagues, building capability across the business.
- Monitor case trends and provide insights to senior leadership.
Depending on your role, you may be fully on-site or have a mix of on-site and home working - this is what we refer to as 'Hybrid'. Our hybrid working policy allows colleagues to work from home for part of the week, with a minimum of three days on-site, depending on business needs.
You will be a confident leader with strong employee relations expertise along with people management experience. You'll thrive in a fast-paced environment, balancing complex casework with team leadership and strategic input.

- Have a solid understanding of UK employment law and ACAS guidance.
- Be skilled in coaching and developing teams.
