As an Employee Relations Assistant, your two main responsibilities will be to manage and process Data Subject Access Requests received from employees and other data subjects in accordance with data protection regulations, particularly the General Data Protection Regulation. You will be responsible for the end management of all Flexible Working Requests that the company receives from our employees.
Responsibilities
- Receiving and documenting all DSARs submitted by data subjects through various channels including email and Workday.
- Verify the identity of data subjects to prevent unauthorized access to personal data.
- Serving as the primary point of contact for data subjects regarding their DSARs.
- Collaborating with internal departments, including Legal, Payroll, Corporate Health, Security and Customer Services to gather and validate requested personal data.
- Generating regular reports summarising statistics, processing times, and any notable issues or trends for internal review.
- End to end case management of Flexible Working Requests, ensuring line managers execute the process correctly, in line with our Flexible Working Policy, providing support where appropriate.
You will be a motivated individual that is able to take initiative to manage their own workload and process high volumes of work accurately and to deadline. You will have solid communication skills, being clear and concise, with a high level of written communication and excellent attention to detail. You will be able to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and integrity, and will have an understanding of data protection laws, particularly GDPR, and their implications for DSAR processing.
