Overview
We are seeking hospitality specialists for a fixed term contract from 26 October 2025 to 10 January 2026. Join us in creating memorable experiences that set the standard for luxury dining worldwide.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Senior Bartender and Bar Manager to achieve commercial goals and deliver an outstanding guest experience.
- Maintain daily operational excellence and contribute to a world-class bar experience while supporting the team in achieving Harrods\’ shared objectives.
- Have comprehensive knowledge of the restaurant drinks menu and allergens, and be aware of specials/promotions.
- Answer guest queries quickly, knowledgeably, and discreetly in line with the highest standards.
- Engage with and interact comfortably with guests to build rapport and ensure a smooth, elegant service experience.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of different mixing techniques, classic cocktail preparation, and bar operation.
- Create personalised experiences for customers beyond just making and serving cocktails.
- Provide menu concept introductions and make recommendations based on customer preferences.
- Take food and beverage orders professionally and maximise sales discreetly where appropriate.
- Prepare mis-en-place to required specifications for each drink on a daily basis.
- Maintain a high level of service expected in a fine dining environment and work well in a team.
- Communicate effectively and motivate colleagues to ensure smooth operation while upholding company standards.
Qualifications / Skills
- Proven experience as a Bartender in a high-end or fine dining environment preferred.
- Flexibility to meet guest needs and a proactive, customer-focused mindset.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills; ability to work at pace while remaining calm.
- Strong knowledge of cocktails, mixing techniques, and bar operations; ability to answer guests’ questions about the menu and allergens.
- Ability to work as part of a team and contribute to a positive work environment.
