We are now looking for a Baker who loves being right at the heart of the action to join our wonderful Bakery team. Our Bakers ensure that our world-class food halls and restaurants are stocked with mesmerizing breads and viennoiserie, baked fresh on site every single day.
Responsibilities
- Prepare patisserie, breads and baked goods, organise ingredients, and keep the kitchen clean.
- Act as a vital part of the bakery team by ensuring the smooth running of a section and providing support to the senior chefs and other team members.
- Actively provide direction and support to the team to deliver day-to-day operational requirements.
- Assist management in planning and forecasting stock and orders, and support with organisation, stock rotation and labelling of stored food.
- Ensure Food Safety standards are adhered to by enforcing a high standard of hygiene and sanitation in all food-related outlets.
About You
- Exceptional baker with time spent at Chef de Partie level or above, with extensive experience in artisanal baking techniques including sourdough and laminated bakery products.
- Strong knowledge and passion for food and drink; excellent time-management and a strong customer focus when dealing with internal and external parties.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and good attention to detail, demonstrated through paperwork, department organisation, and maintaining sufficient stock levels.
- Ability to demonstrate effective leadership and management by coaching, inspiring and motivating the team.
- Good PC literacy is a must.
