Our Private Shopping Waiters will assist the Management team in running the Private Shopping areas effectively by maintaining high service standards and exceeding customer expectations.
You’ll be the gatekeeper of our lounge area, assisting in preparing all food and beverage components, from preparing coffee to serving champagne and light refreshments, and working with Harrods' most discerning clients. About the Role
As a Private Shopping Waiter, you’ll be part of an elite team based in our iconic Penthouse and Private Service Suite creating a seamless, personalised experience for Harrods’ most discerning clients, where every detail matters. You will be responsible for:
- Offering a seamless and unrivalled client journey, achieved the moment our clients walk through our doors, through personalised attention, intuitive and anticipatory service and in-depth product knowledge.
- Preparing and serving premium beverages, from artisan coffee to champagne and bespoke cocktails, alongside light refreshments.
- Maintaining the immaculate luxury standard of our lounges, ensuring comfort and elegance at all times.
- Anticipating client needs through intuitive service and in-depth product knowledge.
- Organising and executing mise-en-place duties before and after service to keep operations flawless.
This role is fully on site, working 5 out of the 7 days a week.
About You
We’re looking for individuals who thrive in a high-pressure, fast-paced luxury environment and can deliver exceptional service with confidence, whilst maintaining a professional approach when handling client requests with discretion. This is a busy, active role where you will be on your feet throughout the day engaging with customers and at times carrying heavy items. You will bring:
- Food and beverage experience, ideally in hotels, events, or fine dining.
- Knowledge of mixology, barista skills, or silver service, with the ability to flex between bartender and waiter duties.
- Strong customer service instincts and a passion for creating unforgettable experiences.
- Calm efficiency under pressure and a professional approach to every interaction.
