As an Employee Relations Assistant, you will join the Employee Relations team to manage and process Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs) received from employees and other data subjects in accordance with data protection regulations, particularly the General Data Protection Regulation. You will be responsible for the end-to-end management of all Flexible Working Requests the company receives from our employees.

You will also be responsible for:

  • Receiving and documenting all DSARs submitted by data subjects through various channels including email and Workday.
  • Verifying the identity of data subjects to prevent unauthorized access to personal data.
  • Serving as the primary point of contact for data subjects regarding their DSARs.
  • Collaborating with internal departments, including Legal, Payroll, Corporate Health, Security and Customer Services to gather and validate requested personal data.
  • Generating regular reports summarising statistics, processing times, and any notable issues or trends for internal review.
  • End-to-end case management of Flexible Working Requests, ensuring line managers execute the process correctly, in line with our Flexible Working Policy, providing support where appropriate.

You will be a motivated individual who can take initiative to manage your own workload and process high volumes of work accurately and to deadline. You will have solid communication skills, being clear and concise, with a high level of written communication and excellent attention to detail. You will be able to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and integrity, and you will have an understanding of data protection laws, particularly GDPR, and their implications for DSAR processing.
