We are recruiting for a Machine Operative on the Nights shift within Beeston, Leeds.

Hours of Work: 4 nights Mon to Thurs (two 12-hour shifts 6.00pm to 6.00am and two shifts 10.00pm to 6.00am total 40 hours)

Hourly Rate: £12.97

Weekly Shift Allowance: £56.16

The Machine Operative will produce the necessary spring sheets and Micro coil units for the next production stage as requested by the department Manager/production planner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Follow daily production instructions and run the correct required springs.
  • Monitor raw materials and request as required from the department Manager.
  • Monitor quality of products; ensure all quality procedures are adhered to, feed back to the Manager.
  • Changing cloth and wire.
  • Complete Quality checks to agreed tolerances.
  • Monitor machine output.
  • General upkeep of the Coilers.
  • Checking wire and reject wire correctly.

About You Skills & Experience required:

  • Machine operating or setting experience essential.
  • Self-motivated.
  • The ability to stand, walk and move for up to 8 hours per day.
  • Team player.
  • Dexterity.
  • Good communication and organizational skills.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to think clearly and work under pressure.
