We are seeking a Team Leader within our Beds division based at our manufacturing site in Beeston, Leeds.
Reporting to the Senior Manufacturing Manager, the Team Leader will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the daily operations within the Quad Department, ensuring quality, safety and productivity targets are met as well as supervising production operatives.
The Quad production team produce Springs for our mattresses as requested by the department Team Leader.
Hours: Monday to Wednesday, 2pm 12am, Thursdays 2pm 11pm
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate records of production output, monitor progress and ensure production targets are met.
- Monitor the production processes and adjust the workforce and workflow as needed.
- Lead and co-ordinate a team of production operatives within the Quad Department and ensure all are logged onto the Production Performance Management System (PPMS).
- Liaise and work with other departments and the management team to overcome anyoperational issues that may arise.
- Carry out Performance Improvement techniques where necessary, to ensure employees are working to set standards for production outputs set by the industrial engineer and set by the quality control team.
- Motivate, coach and train operators where necessary in relation to their performance.
- Monitor and ensure all quality procedures are always being correctly adhered to throughout the production process.
- Monitor and review absences, time keeping and performance issues with the HRdepartment.
- Adhere to all health and safety procedures and PPE requirements.
- Work with management teams to implement improvements to enhance productivity andefficiency aligned with the company\’s objectives and goals.
- Gather, review and analyse production, quality and waste data and prepare daily and weekly reports for the management team.
