In line with our ambition to lead the world in sustainable comfort innovation, we produce our own chemical-free mattress fabric right here on site. Using a blend of traditional craftsmanship and cutting-edge weaving technology, we create a breathable, naturally fire-resistant sleeping surface with no added chemicals.
We are now looking for a Night Shift Weaver to join our dedicated team. In this role, you’ll help keep our weaving department running smoothly and efficiently, maximising loom performance and supporting the production of our high-quality fabrics.
Hours: Monday - Wednesday 6pm - 6am, 36 hours per week. Please note: Whilst training, the successful candidate will do day shift hours. Monday - Wednesday 6am - 6pm & Thursday 6am - 12pm.
Reporting to the Weaving Manager, the Night Shift Weaver plays a key role in maintaining a safe, efficient, and high-quality weaving operation. You’ll support the smooth running of our looms, uphold our safety standards, and help us deliver the premium, chemical-free fabrics we’re known for.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the efficient running of 9 Dornier air-jet looms, operating them strictly in line with manufacturer instructions.
- Maintain a safe working environment by following all company health & safety procedures.
- Identify and repair weaving faults such as broken ends, picks, and similar issues.
- Maintain production flow and fabric quality by regularly patrolling and monitoring looms.
- Demonstrate flexibility by working across different loom types and carrying out a variety of tasks including pin dropping, filling weft creels, returning woven fabrics, and other duties as required by the Weaving Manager.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Flexibility to operate multiple loom types and adapt to changing production needs.
- Previous knotter/weaving experience is essential.
- Strong listening skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and maintain high standards.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
