Step into a role where no two days look the same. The Motorist, Yorkshire's one-of-a-kind automotive-themed venue, is looking for an experienced Meetings & Events Supervisor to help deliver unforgettable experiences across our thriving calendar of corporate, private and brand-led events.
Located in Sherburn-in-Elmet, The Motorist is a destination like no other. We blend motoring heritage with exceptional hospitality, offering a striking backdrop for everything from board meetings and conferences to weddings, product launches and private dining.
Our event spaces - Brooklands, Indianapolis, Fangio and Club Le Mans - feature full AV, flexible layouts and bespoke catering options. Alongside our events offering, the site includes a vibrant café, The Drivers Lounge restaurant, a unique retail store, and an on-site garage and MOT centre. It's a dynamic, fast-growing environment where great service and memorable experiences are at the heart of everything we do.
As our Meetings & Events Supervisor, you'll take the lead in delivering seamless, high-quality events from start to finish. You'll be the face of the venue for clients on the day, ensuring every detail runs smoothly and every guest leaves impressed.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Supervising and hosting a wide range of events: meetings, conferences, weddings, trade shows, private parties and more
- Acting as the main on-duty host, building strong rapport with clients and exceeding expectations
- Leading, training and motivating event and catering teams
- Coordinating room setups, timings, catering, décor and AV requirements
- Ensuring all health, safety and hygiene standards are met
- Working closely with Operations, Kitchen, Sales and external suppliers
- Handling on-the-day challenges with confidence and professionalism
- Upholding the high presentation and service standards our brand is known for
About You:

- Proven supervisory experience in hospitality, events, meetings or banqueting
- Strong leadership and communication skills
