An innovative digital branding company is looking for a Pre-Press Quality Controller, with a keen eye to detail, to be responsible for ensuring all deliverables will print according to the brief supplied and brand consistencies are adhered to.
Responsibilities
- Check the digital artwork and proofs being produced will print and are completed to the brief supplied.
- Provide timely feedback on errors to the production team.
- Use the internal MIS system in accordance with standardised work procedures to ensure an accurate permanent asset database is maintained.
- Monitor and record QC errors on all jobs, understanding the importance of using systems.
- Adhere to all internal processes in place for art working and reprox.
- Adhere to all reporting processes set up within the department.
- Contribute input into the development of QC processes based on client needs.
Qualifications
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience working on a printing press, litho, flexo or gravure.
- Experience producing printing plates.
- Ability to multi‐task and work in a fast‐paced office setting.
- Keen eye for detail.
- Willingness to share skills and knowledge with others.
- Proven experience in a pre‐press department or in printing.
- Understanding of the technical aspects of reprographics and ability to quality‐check trapping and separations.
- Good knowledge of the graphic Mac applications, Illustrator and Acrobat.
